Mindworks Georgia, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health at the Georgia Health Policy Center, is pleased to announce the availability of funding for two Georgia THRIVe infant toddler court programs. More information for applicants is available here.
Georgia THRIVe is looking to establish community-based infant toddler court programs that will create a well-coordinated, child welfare and court system that provides trauma-responsive and culturally competent services to young children and their families resulting in safe, stable homes where children thrive.
These goals can be achieved by
- Providing enhanced support to families with children ages 0–3 placed in foster care through additional case management and linkage to wraparound services, including resources to address infant and early childhood mental health needs
- Integrating trauma-responsive practices into dependency court hearings using ZERO TO THREE’s Safe Babies Court Team Approach
- Increasing collaboration between court teams, state agencies, and community organizations.
Successful Georgia THRIVe infant toddler court applicants will be provided $60,000/year for three years.
