Decreasing silos in service provision of behavioral health care and increasing coordination and collaboration across child-serving agencies benefits the children of Georgia and their families.

Improving care coordination can occur both across community-based behavioral health programs and across sectors (e.g., behavioral health, education, justice, health, and public health systems). Evidence shows this coordination can enhance individuals’ access to quality behavioral health care, systemwide efficiencies, and ultimately treatment outcomes. The Center of Excellence contributes to care coordination through workforce development and training, technical assistance, and evaluation.
