The center’s serious mental illness portfolio aims to address the needs of individuals with serious mental health challenges in order to support recovery. This is done by providing the knowledge and skills to the behavioral health workforce in a manner that enhances their efficacy and ability to work with this population. The Center of Excellence provides workforce development and training to behavioral health professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists, certified peers, nurses, etc.) working with individuals experiencing a serious mental health challenge and also conducts evaluations to support programmatic improvement.
