- Biography
Jessica Austin is a senior research associate at the Georgia Health Policy Center with the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health. Her areas of expertise include severe and persistent mental illness, community mental health, and recovery oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). She holds a clinical license in social work.
Current projects include working as an elite trainer on the Beck Initiative and with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to implement recovery-oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) training and consultation throughout the DBHDD network. Austin provides intensive workshops and ongoing consultation in the CT-R model to mental health providers across the state of Georgia to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in overcoming roadblocks to recovery and to sustain integration in the community.
