The Carter Center has been part of ongoing statewide efforts to ensure all of Georgia’s children have the opportunity to benefit from school-based behavioral health. The center has participated in a leadership collaborative and hosted regional forums with stakeholders from local communities.
To meet the goal of providing school districts, philanthropic organizations, parents and community stakeholders with relevant information to implement, strengthen, and expand school-based behavioral health programming in local communities throughout Georgia, the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health at the Georgia Health Policy Center supported the Carter Center in developing a three briefs to share best practices for behavioral health universal prevention in school-based programs.
