Gwinnett County Adult Drug Court Evaluation
Gwinnett County Adult Drug Court Evaluation
The Gwinnett County (Georgia) Adult Drug Court is a five-phase intervention program, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for adults who have pled guilty to one or more non-violent drug offenses and are having difficulty staying clean and sober. The long-term goal is to expand access to direct treatment services for substance use disorder.
View Point Health, a community-based behavioral health service provider, and the Georgia Health Policy Center have worked collaboratively on the evaluation of the Gwinnett County Adult Drug Court. Analysis includes quantitative programmatic data to determine whether clients have experienced mental and behavioral change through increased access to services. Further, survey data is collected to assess the success of collaborative efforts among programmatic partners. Findings from this evaluation can be used to inform and support program impact, ongoing program implementation, funding sustainability, and program expansion.
