Resource Roundup
Recognizing the COVID-19 pandemic has created unique circumstances for protecting children’s behavioral health, the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health (COE) has complied a compendium of resources. These resources include websites, one-pagers, and webinar recordings curated for parents and students, mental health professionals, and school staff, including administrators, teachers, and school resource officers. Both parents and students will find resources to learn more about what to expect when receiving telehealth services. Parents will also learn strategies to engage youth while practicing social distancing measures and using virtual platforms and tools to support youth’s social and emotional well-being doing this time. Mental health professionals will find information about virtual continuing education resources and strategies to guide their transition to providing services via telehealth. School staff and administrators will receive strategies and best practices for supporting students as they transition back to school and more information about youth mental health services and resources provided by Georgia’s school-based mental health professionals during the pandemic.
